I started my career in banking and then applied for nurse training. I qualified as a RGN in 1990 and soon became a Ward Sister by the age of 23. I then moved to adult social care. I have worked for private, charity and global providers usually as a crisis manager and then registered manager in nursing, care and dementia homes. I have recently joined Southcare Homes as a consultant from CQC compliance. I have always believed that age is no barrier to leading a full and active life.
